What are 4Cs?
The Partnership for 21st century learning categorizes the 4Cs as Learning and Innovation Skills. Learning and innovation skills increasingly are being recognized as the skills that separate students who are prepared for increasingly complex life and work environments in the 21st century, and those who are not. The 4Cs focus on Creativity, Critical thinking, Communication and Collaboration. These are essential to prepare students for the future.

How did this come about?
P21’s Framework for 21st Century Learning was developed with input from teachers, education experts, and business leaders to define and illustrate the skills and knowledge students need to succeed in work, life and citizenship, as well as the support systems necessary for 21st century learning outcomes. It has been used by thousands of educators and hundreds of schools in the U.S. and abroad to put 21st century skills at the center of learning.

Why are they important?
Google did a research to find out the top 10 traits of what makes good managers in Google. They found that Good managers can coach, communicate well, collaborates across different divisions and many more.Which strongly relates to the 4Cs.

How to get started with 4C skill development?
When it comes to teaching and learning, we find that discipline, consistency, patience and achievability are much more important than speed. Many students especially start with very high enthusiasm but burn out quick after a starting shortly.
